SMMTannounces agenda for International Automotive Summit
16 Mar 2011The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders has announced the plenary programme for the 2011 SMMTInternational Automotive Summit.
Stephen T Odell, Ford Group Vice President and Chairman and CEO of Ford of Europe, will be the keynote speaker at the event, which takes place in Westminster on 28 June. Odell’s address will start the day, followed by a Q&A session and panel debate with industry experts representing the breadth of the automotive sector to explore what the UK has to offer the global motor industry.
Sessions on the transition to ultra-low carbon transport and the future of car retailing continue the programme, before a leading government minister will give an overview on where the automotive industry is heading and its role in the wider economy.
Throughout the day, parallel sessions will also run on topics such as low carbon commercial vehicles, raising investment, increasing export potential and the evolving world of vehicle remarketing. Full details on these sessions will be announced soon, along with confirmation of speakers.
