Commercial Vehicle Show 2025: A flavour of what to expect from the event
27 Feb 2025

This year鈥檚 Commercial Vehicle Show at the NEC Birmingham, which takes place from April 29 to May 1, promises to be the largest and most dynamic edition yet, with more than 300 exhibitors and an anticipated 15,000 attendees.
The event, owned and run by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (91制片厂官网) and Road Haulage Association (RHA), had already firmly established itself on the calendar as the UK鈥檚 premier platform for road transport, logistics, freight, and distribution.
New event organiser Nineteen Group 鈥 the team behind InstallerSHOW and Elemental 鈥 is now introducing exciting new features, dedicated zones, and tailored content designed to address the evolving challenges of the industry.
From HGV and LCV manufacturers to advanced fleet management systems, vehicle security, and workshop equipment, the redesigned floorplan is designed to facilitate seamless navigation, allowing visitors to quickly locate solutions tailored to their operational needs.
Whether the focus lies in technology integration, enhancing safety protocols, or streamlining fleet operations, it is set to deliver actionable solutions designed to help drive businesses forward.
This year鈥檚 edition will feature an all-new content programme, including new stages, innovative features and zones, live demonstrations, and a range of networking initiatives on the expo floor.
Additionally, a record number of new zero emission trailer, truck and van models from world-leading brands will be showcased.
Given the UK鈥檚 ambitious net zero targets and rising use of automated vehicles, the show鈥檚 role in helping businesses sustain existing partnerships while delivering new growth is more important than ever.
Mike Costain, CV Show Event Director, said: 鈥淭his is a great opportunity to build on the legacy of previous editions of the event and develop new initiatives that will set the standard for the industry.
鈥淚鈥檓 looking forward to working with the team and our partners to create exceptional events that drive innovation and growth in the commercial vehicles sector.鈥

Attendees can also look forward to new content stages featuring expert-led talks that address pressing issues in road transport.
The event will feature government speakers and industry leaders, addressing key topics such as decarbonisation, fleet optimisation, future legislation, the ZEV mandate, infrastructure development, and compliance.
These insightful sessions will aim to equip attendees with the knowledge and strategies needed to remain competitive in this fast-evolving landscape.
Mike Hawes, SMMTChief Executive, said: 鈥淭he collaboration with Nineteen Group is an exciting development for us.
鈥淭heir expertise in event management and dedication to the delivery of exceptional experiences align perfectly with our vision for the Commercial Vehicle Show. Together, we will create an even more dynamic and impactful event for our exhibitors and visitors.鈥
THE EV CAFE
The Commercial Vehicle Show 2025 will welcome the return of The EV Caf茅 Village to guide fleet operators on the latest electric trucks and vans.
Expanded for this year鈥檚 event, it will simplify EV adoption for road transport operators with hands-on demonstrations, interactive exhibits and direct access to industry experts.
As part of the village, The EV Caf茅 Stage will host a free-to-attend conference, delivering expert talks and valuable industry insights.
Visitors can explore key topics such as transitioning to zero emission vehicles, successfully adopting an EV fleet, the Zero Emission Van Plan, available support for the transition, EV charging solutions, and insights into battery technology and lifespan.
The hub will demonstrate how electric commercial vehicles, as well as clean energy and accessible charging solutions can seamlessly integrate into fleet operations 鈥 removing barriers and building confidence in the transition to net zero.
Last year, the EV Caf茅 Village was in high demand among businesses seeking the latest advice and insight on how EVs can seamlessly merge with their fleet operations.
Costain said: 鈥淭he Commercial Vehicle Show is the place where business gets done, so we are delighted to join forces with The EV Caf茅 Village as we kickstart a bold new journey 鈥 providing businesses fleets with the advice and expertise they need to make fleet decarbonisation a practical, commercial success.鈥
