The full commodity list for SMMTMeet the Buyer 2014 is now available, with aluminium extrusions, small assemblies and chrome plating on zinc diecasting among the most sought-after components by OEMs.

Meet the Buyer, which will take place in London on 25 June, is a key event in the ongoing drive to grow the UK automotive supply chain. It matches OEM sourcing demand to local suppliers, retaining and building on supply chain relationships.

91ÖÆƬ³§¹ÙÍø and UKTI’s Automotive Investment Organisation (AIO) will jointly host the event to support the sourcing activities of both UK and overseas purchasing organisations, and encourage inwards investment in processes not currently supported in the UK.

The strength and capability of the automotive supply chain is a crucial factor in driving growth and attracting inward investment into an industry that employs over 700,000 people and invests over £1.5bn in R&D every year.
