• New bus and coach registrations grow 17.2% to 4,679 units in the first six months of 2015.
• Demand for new buses and coaches rose in June with 32% growth.
• June figures driven by converted bus market, which saw 76.9% surge in the month to 490 units.

“Demand for buses and coaches has seen a resurgence in 2015, as the first six months of the year demonstrate continued confidence of UK operators as they invest in their fleets,” said Mike Hawes, SMMTChief Executive. “We have seen significant growth in all sectors of the market so far this year – but with the holiday season well underway and demand for coaches easing, it was the bus market that led the way in June.”
